Are strollers allowed?
Yes, but please be mindful of other runners and try to stay to the side of the course.
I signed up but can’t make the race. Can I get a refund or defer my entry until next year?
Unfortunately, we have a no-refund policy and entries cannot be deferred.
My spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend/child/friend is not a runner but still wants to come to the Bacon Bash. Is that okay?
Sure, we would love to have them. We are selling tickets for the party for $10 on our registration site. We would recommend purchasing in advance. A limited number of tickets for the Bacon Bash will be available at the door for $15.
What if the weather is bad? Will the race go on?
We will hold the race rain or shine. If there is a risk of severe weather, the start of the event may be delayed.
Can I volunteer? If so, what are the perks?
Yes, we need volunteers to work on the course (6:15 to 7:30 p.m.) or at packet pickup (4:30 to 6:15 p.m). Volunteers will get free admission to the post-race party and lots of thank-you’s from the runners. If you are interested, please email the race director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Who is organizing the race?
Longrun Athletics, LLC is the creator of Race for the Bacon. The company is located in Wind Lake and also organizes the Icebreaker Indoor Marathon, the Heatbreaker Half Marathon, the Great Milwaukee Race and the Talmer Turkey Trot.
Who is the race director and how do I contact them?
The race director is Boss Hog and you can email him at email@example.com.
